FAQs

How are you able to ship so quickly!?
All yarns on my site are already dyed and ready to ship, and I ship daily. If there are not enough skeins remaining in stock for your project, please send me a message – in most cases, I can dye more for you, or I may even have another batch already waiting in the wings.

What if what I’m looking for isn’t in stock?
Need more skeins than currently available in a listing? Love a colorway, but want it on a different base yarn? I'd be happy to dye more for you; please send me a message for details.

Do you dye custom orders?
Although I don’t develop custom colorways on request, I’m happy to dye full skeins of any of my colorways (except those with 'potluck' in the title – those are one-of-a-kind) on any of my base yarns. Note that there may be slight differences in how a base yarn/colorway combination turns out depending on fiber composition, yarn construction, etc. If you decide you'd like to have some yarn dyed, turnaround time is about 3 weeks. When your yarn is ready, I’ll set up a reserved listing for you. Prepayment is not necessary. Send me a message with your needs!

Do you sell undyed skeins?
Yes! I charge 25% less for undyed skeins. If you’d like any of my base yarns undyed, please send me a message, and I’ll create a reserved listing for you.

How often do you do shop updates?
I don’t do scheduled mass updates, but add batches as they are ready.  Check back often ... I add new yarns or restock sold out yarns nearly every day!

What if I need to make a return?
It's very important to me that you are pleased with your purchase. Please contact me if you have a problem or concern, so we can work out an agreeable solution.
If a return for refund is required ...
• Please contact me (andrea@blacksheepdyeworks.com) within 3 days of delivery of your order for return authorization
• Yarn must be shipped back within 14 days of return authorization, and return shipping expenses are the buyer’s responsibility.
• Yarn must be in original unused condition and free from odors, pet hair, etc.
• Custom orders may be returned only at my discretion.
