Yarn Kit for the “The Gnorri Knitalong” hosted by Sarah Schira of Imagined Landscapes, November 2024
This KAL celebrates the publication of Sarah's new book, 'The Gnomes of Grimblewood'
Whether you’re dipping your toes into gnome knitting for the first time, or planning to make 6 for presents this year, knit along in November! The KAL features weekly zoom sessions, tutorials & tips, camaraderie and prizes.
Color palette inspiration:
Gnorri is a simple gnome, and led me to earthy color combinations that won't overwhelm his design, and will feel at home in Grimblewood. The autumnal colors all work well together, so you can mix & match if you choose to purchase multiple sets. These sets also mark the introduction of my new tweed mini base!
Included in this kit:
• Two mini skeins of hand dyed yarn
• One mini skein of undyed yarn
• Pattern is NOT included; see link below to purchase the book
I’ve assembled six colorway options:
Set A (tweed): Rustic Purple, Copper, Undyed
Set B (tweed): Deep Sea Tonal, Lettuce Tonal, Undyed
Set C (tweed): Slate Grey Tonal, Honey Mustard, Undyed
Set D: Denim, Hazelnut, Undyed
Set E: Deep Lilac, Driftwood, Undyed
Set F: Moss Tonal, Redwood, Undyed
• Each mini skein weighs 20g, approximately 87 yards
• Tweed minis are 85% superwash merino wool/15% tweed neps (nylon)
• Non-tweed minis are 100% superwash merino wool
• Approximately 7 to 8 stitches per inch on US #1-3 needles
• Hand dyed in small batches
• Hand or machine wash, dry flat
