Yarn Kit for Professor Fungi, the April 2025 MKAL by Sarah Schira of Imagined Landscapes
New for June 2025: You can now add a new super soft Suri Alpaca/Silk mini to your set for a fuzzy beard option. Click here for this new mini base.
I'm thrilled to be the "featured dyer" for this MKAL, with Sarah selecting my "Fly Amanita" set for her mushroom-inspired mystery gnome. This kit provides four sock/fingering weight mini skeins, in especially chosen colors, for your knitting pleasure!
Included in this kit:
• Four mini skeins of yarn: three hand dyed mini skeins + one undyed mini skein
• Pattern is NOT included; see professor fungi information page to purchase the pattern directly from Imagined Landscapes
• Each mini skein weighs 20g, approximately 87 yards
• Approximately 7 to 8 stitches per inch on US #1-3 needles
• Hand dyed in small batches
• Hand or machine wash, dry flat
Colorways:
I’ve created four mushroom-y options, each named for a mushroom which inspired it:
Set 1 "Fly Amanita" (this is the set chosen by Sarah for her gnome): Cinnabar (use as color D), Greige (color A), Driftwood (color B), Undyed (color C)
Set 2 "Morel": Bark Tonal (use as color D), Sesame (color A), Silver Lining (color B), Undyed (color C)
Set 3 "Chanterelle": Marigold (use as color D), Pale Wheat (color A), Copper (color B), Undyed (color C)
Set 4 "Russula": Grape (use as color D), Shadow (color A), Serenity (color B), Undyed (color C)
Please note that I have tried to capture the colors accurately, but my camera (and perhaps your monitor) may result in some variation.
